LEUS co-founder Conner Coffin has just arrived to the idyllic island paradise known as Tavarua. It’s from there that Conner will hop into a small, surfboard-laden panga and make his way out to Thundercloud reef aka Cloudbreak to compete in the Outerknown Fiji Pro (June 4-16).
It’s stop #5 on the 2017 WSL Men’s Championship Tour and Coffin will be looking for a solid result at one of his favorite stops on the tour. A former boatman for Tavarua Resort, Coffin has tons of experience at the heaving left hander, but will be challenged right off the bat against 2016 Fiji Pro champion Gabriel Medina when action gets underway.
Surfline is forecasting average conditions in the early part of the Outerknown Fiji Pro waiting period, but things take a turn for the better in the latter part of the window.
Watch Conner and the entire World Surf League men’s championship field live at worldsurfleague.com and follow Conner on Instagram at @connercoffin. Hint: He’s always giving away LEUS towels, contest jerseys, and whatever else isn’t bolted down!
Let’s go Conner, #getleus in Fiji!
